My time at Bromley has come to an end, says Ebbsfleet United bound winger Adam Mekki
BROMLEY have lost the services of winger Adam Mekki, who has signed for relegated Ebbsfleet United today.
The 28-year-old played eight games for Ebbsfleet United during a loan spell from Bromley earlier in the year and The Fleet clinched three wins and two draws during Mekki’s successful loan spell at Stonebridge Road, before he returned to Hayes Lane and played in Bromley's 1-1 draw at Harrogate Town in front of the BT Sport cameras on Saturday 7 March 2020.
Ebbsfleet United were relegated into the Vanarama National League South at the end of their curtailed campaign due to the coronavirus health pandemic and have made Mekki their ninth summer signing.
Mekki, who battled back from a broken fibula last season before going to Ebbsfleet United to regain his match fitness, said in a statement: “My time at Bromley has come to an end. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Some tough times in my life, let alone my career but can’t thank everyone enough who helped me through it.
“Wish nothing but success for Bromley and no doubt our paths will cross again soon."
The former Tranmere Rovers man added on his Twitter account: "I'm really pleased to have sorted my future with Ebbsfleet United.
"It's been too long without football and can't wait to get started. Loved my time on loan so was an easy decision to join."
Ravens' boss Neil Smith guided his home-town club to thirteenth-place in the Vanarama National League table at the time of the abandonment.
Meanwhile, the 2020-21 National League campaign will kick-off on Saturday 3 October 2020.
