Bromley 1 Harrow Borough 1
Sunday 12th February 2006
Bromley were made to rue missed chances as they conceded yet another late goal which gave Harrow Borough a point, writes Tim Hutton.
Bromley started brightly, with Sam Wood forcing a save out of the tall Harrow Borough keeper early on when his low long range shot was well saved by Keita Karamoko in the Harrow Borough goal.
Danny Carroll had to be quick at the back when Daniel Dyer fired in a low cross which looked like Elliot Onochie would get to first but Carroll was there to put the ball behind for a corner.
Andy Walker was back in the Bromley goal but didn't have to make to many saves but was troubled when the ball fell to the edge of the area and a half-volley from the same player Onochie was just over Andy Walker's goal.
Bromley, however, took the lead just before half-time when Mark Willy's long ball forward put Wayne Walters under pressure and his attempted header back to Karamoko was not hard enough and Adrian Stone was there to loop the ball over the tall keeper to put Bromley in front at half-time.
Harrow Borough came out for the second half a different side, forcing Bromley into mistakes and making passes go astray.
Des Boateng had the next chance of the half when Gary Drewett laid the ball off to him but he blasted the ball out of the ground.
Drewett then had to wear a bandage when he appeared to be elbowed in the face and required treatment off the pitch.
Harrow Borough had a chance late on when they won a free-kick right on the edge of the Bromley area but it was straight at the wall.
That looked to be it but Borough had other ideas and a quick free-kick played the ball over to the right wing and the cross went right to the back post and was headed back and three Bromley players were all beaten to the ball and Leech poked home past Andy Walker to give Harrow probably a deserved point.
