Bromley re-sign their championship winning back four
BROMLEY have re-signed their championship winning back four ahead of their inaugural Vanarama National League campaign.
Mark Goldberg’s side claimed the Vanarama Conference South title when Weston-super-Mare were comfortably beaten 3-0 at Hayes Lane on 18 April.
It was the club’s first league title since the Isthmian League crown was won back in 1961 and Bromley can now look forward to playing in the top flight of non-league football for the first time in their 123-year history.
The rebranded Vanarama National League season will kick-off on Saturday 8 August 2015.
Bromley will lock horns with a number of club’s that they haven’t played before, including Cheltenham Town and Tranmere Rovers, who were both relegated from League Two.
The Ravens will also come up against Barrow and Guiesley, both promoted from Vanarama Conference North.
Boreham Wood, who Bromley beat 2-1 at Hayes Lane in early April, will be familiar opponents after they won promotion via the Conference South play-offs.
The first player to confirm that they’ve re-signed was captain Rob Swaine, who put pen to paper on a new deal on Friday.
The inspirational central defender, who lifted the championship winning trophy along with fans’ favourite Danny Waldren, took to Twitter to break the news.

The former Billericay Town man said: “Over the moon to have signed a new deal at Bromley FC. Buzzing for next season already.”
Swaine’s central defensive partner, Jack Holland, 23, has also penned a new deal to stay at Hayes Lane.
Holland scooped two player-of-the-year awards at the club last season and played under current boss Goldberg in Bromley’s under 10s before being snapped up by Crystal Palace, before returning to play for his home-town club.
“Pleased to announce I have signed a new deal with Bromley and can’t wait to start the new season,” tweeted Holland.
Left-back, Joe Anderson, 25, who began his career in the youth ranks at Chelsea and Fulham, signed for Bromley from Cambridge United in June 2013, and has also put pen to paper to stay at Hayes Lane.
And right-back Ugo Udoji confirmed he has signed on the dotted line today.
Two midfielders, Reece Prestedge and Louis Dennis also revealed on Twitter that they have signed new contracts.
Meanwhile, Bradley Goldberg, 21, who returned to Bromley on-loan from Dagenham & Redbridge last season, was one of three players to be released by the Daggers today, although former Chatham Town striker Ade Yusuff, has signed a new one-year contract with the League Two club.
But one player who will not be playing for Bromley next season will be winger Mitchell Pinnock, 20, who has signed a contract with promoted Vanarama National League South side Maidstone United.
Pinnock finished last season with two successful loan spells in the Ryman Premier League for Tonbridge Angels, but declined an offer to stay at Longmead Stadium.
The Stones have also confirmed that skipper Steve Watt, 30, has signed a new contract to stay at the club.
Watt tweeted: “Honoured to be asked and delighted to sign and be part of Maidstone United for another season.”
