Bromley sign Ben Wynter: The club is definitely going in the right direction
BROMLEY manager Neil Smith has unveiled long-term target Ben Wynter.
Wynter, 19, has put pen to paper on a contract to sign for the Vanarama National League outfit to become the 12th player on contract at Hayes Lane.
Smith guided the Ravens to a personal best tenth-placed finish in their second season in the top-flight of non-league football last season, on a club record of 62 points for the division.
“We’ve watched Ben for a while when he was at Crystal Palace and I tried to bring him in last season,” Smith told www.bromleyfc.tv.
“I’m delighted to have signed Ben, who can play centre back or right-back and I want him to develop under the guidance of Alan Dunn.
“He’s a great acquisition not just for the short-term but for the long-term.”
Wynter said: “I’m delighted to sign for Bromley. It was an easy decision for me personally.
“I’m a local boy from the area and when I found out of the interest from the club I sat down with the manager and when he shared with me the plans for the future of the club and for myself personally, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.
“The club is definitely going in the right direction and I can’t wait to get started.”
