BROMLEY manager Andy Woodman has unveiled the signing of former Millwall striker George Alexander.

The 20-year-old has penned a permanent deal with the Vanarama National League club following a successful trial period at Hayes Lane, scoring three goals during pre-season.

Alexander, the son of former Millwall striker Gary, who has managed Greenwich Borough, Ashford United and Glebe, arrives from EFL Championship side Millwall, where his talents within the Academy awarded him with a Championship appearance against Wigan Athletic in 2019.

Alexander spent time on loan at Vanarama National League South side Concord Rangers during the 2019-20 season, helping the Essex club reach The Buildbase FA Trophy Final.

“I’d like to welcome trialist A, B, C, I, whatever he’s been called,” Woodman told the club website.

“He’s a goalscorer and he’s shown that at Millwall in the under 23s and will give us another dimension in terms of how we play.

“George is always pulling the trigger and is a determined young man, so it’s great to have him in the building and I’m looking forward to working with him and hopefully watching him score many goals for the club.”

Alexander added: “I am delighted to have signed for Bromley and hopefully I can get some more goals.  I’m looking forward to playing some men’s football and impressing the supporters.”

Woodman currently has a 23 man squad going into the new season, with Mark Cousins, Joe Partington, Toby Stevenson, Billy Bingham, Chris Bush, Luke Coulson, Jude Athurs, Michael Cheek, James Alabi, Courtney Duffus, Louis Dennis, Kory Roberts, Liam Trotter, Byron Webster, Corey Whitely, Harry Forster, Nathan Tormey, George Alexander, Sam Skeffington, Archie Burnett, Finlay Lovatt, AJ Martin and Marcus Sablier all signed up.

The Lillywhites finished a personal best of seventh-place in non-league’s top flight last season, before losing 3-2 to Hartlepool United in the play-off eliminators.

Hartlepool United beat Torquay United on penalties in the Promotion Final and join champions Sutton United in League Two.

Bromley, meanwhile, continue their pre-season preparations with a trip to Vanarama National League South side Welling United tomorrow (13:00).
