Mekki won the man-of-the-match award in Bromley’s heartbreaking FA Trophy Final defeat to part-time Vanarama National League North side Brackley Town at Wembley Stadium on 20 May, setting up Bromley's goal, which was scored by Omar Bugiel in the 19th minute, only for Roger Johnson to score an own-goal with just 19 seconds remaining.
Brackley Town went on to win the game 5-4 on penalties, with Bugiel and Jack Holland missing their penalties.
Bromley boss Neil Smith told www.bromleyfc.tv: “I’m really pleased that Adam is staying with us. It’s going to be another tough season but nevertheless we want to improve on what we did last year.
“The fact that Adam is staying shows our ambition and I know he’s delighted to sign as he’s enjoyed being at the club, on and off the field.”
Mekki added: “I’m happy to have signed again for another year. Hopefully we can put the end of last season behind us and reach new heights this year.”
Smith has four players tied down under contract from last season’s squad that went down as Bromley’s best ever campaign in their 125-year history.
The Ravens finished in ninth-place in the Vanarama National League table with a personal best finish of 70 points.
Goalkeeper David Gregory, defender Holland and the versatile Jordan Higgs remain at Hayes Lane, while Smith has made one summer signing so far, bringing in former Maidstone United winger Bobby-Joe Taylor from their league rivals Aldershot Town.
Left-back Tyrone Sterling has left Hayes Lane and three players that spent most of the season out on loan have also departed, full-backs Kristian Campbell, Ben Wynter and winger Iffy Allen.
21-goal attacker Louis Dennis has been snapped up by Sky Bet League One side Portsmouth on a free-transfer after his contract expired at Hayes Lane.
Smith remains in talks with a number of last season’s squad and potential further signings ahead of next season, where expectation levels will be going through the roof.
