Saturday 03rd June 2017

BROMLEY players and club officials attended a roadshow in their local shopping centre today to raise awareness of the club and to raise funds for a cancer charity.

The Glades Shopping Centre are one of the club’s sponsors and Bromley players Daniel Johnson, George Porter and Jack Holland, who helped the club secure a personal best tenth-placed finish in the Vanarama National League, as well as summer signings Iffy Allen and Luke Wanadio and coach Mark Hammond, met shoppers to promote the club.

Bromley’s general manager Jeff Hutton, who attended the roadshow, told www.bromleyfc.tv: “We’re delighted to be back in The Glades and taking part in their charity awareness week to help raise money for The Chartwell Cancer Trust, who were also our guest at a game towards the end of last season.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to continue our work in promoting and sharing our club with the wider community ahead of another exciting season and our 125 year anniversary.”

The pitch at Bromley’s Hayes Lane is being converted into a FIFA 2* Quality 3G pitch during the summer.

The Ravens will entertain Crystal Palace as part of a fun packed Family Day on Saturday 29 July (15:00) to celebrate the opening of the artificial pitch.

The Family Day will kick off from 09:00 onwards with Bromley FC Junior and Youth sections, Bromley Ladies and Bromley Academy all taking part in fun and games on the new pitch ahead of the big kick-off against their Premier League neighbours.

Manager Neil Smith, who attended The Ravensbourne School in Hayes Lane as a youngster, will also take his side to Leatherhead (8 July), Beckenham Town (15 July), Erith & Belvedere (18 July), Glebe (19 July), Welling United (22 July), Dartford (25 July), Holmesdale (26 July) and Greenwich Borough (2 August), before the new National League campaign kicks off on Saturday 5 August.

Former Bromley midfielder Lee Minshull has signed for Isthmian League Premier side Leatherhead, while fellow midfielder Connor Dymond and striker Bradley Goldberg have signed for Welling United following the expiry of their contracts at Hayes Lane.
