Bromleians president John Cooper wins Kent County League Personality of the Year Award

Sunday 03rd June 2018

The Kent County League have honoured John Cooper at their presentation evening on Saturday night.

The Bromleians stalwart, 92, received the Personality of the Year Award for his loyal service to the amateur Bromley based club.

First team manager Danny Wakeling said: “And here he is, Mr John Cooper, with his thoroughly deserved Personality of the Year Award.

“A great award for great service to football and his club by a genuinely great man.”

Wakeling has guided the club to back-to-back promotions and the club will be playing in the Kent County League Premier Division (Step Seven) for the first time in the clubs history when the new season gets underway again in August.

The club renamed their ground at Lower Gravel Road, The John Cooper Ground earlier this year to honour their president.
