Beckenham suffering from pitch disease

Monday 23rd January 2006

Once again Kentish Observer League side Beckenham Town are facing headaches regarding the pitch at Eden Park Avenue, reports www.beckenhamtownfc.co.uk

The  contractor who laid the pitch nearly two years ago has been called back to inspect the playing surface following recent water logging.

Early reports indicate that the pitch is not draining; this has been caused by compaction and the knock on effect is a disease that has formed below the grass itself.

A full report from the Contractors will be released soon.
