ASHFORD UNITED have mutually agreed to part company with manager Danny Kedwell and his assistant manager Dean Beckwith.

The Nuts & Bolts are languishing in tenth-place in the Isthmian League South East Division table, having picked up 37 points (11 wins, four draws and 12 defeats) from their 27 games.

The Homelands outfit are seven points adrift of the play-offs and their 3-1 defeat at Sevenoaks Town at the weekend extended their winless run to four games.

“After discussions, both parties agreed that this interest is in the best interests of the club moving forward,” said a club statement.

“Danny joined the club at the beginning of the season and worked tirelessly to build a team from the ground up.

“Despite facing numerous challenges, including an unfortunate run of injuries, Danny and Dean have shown unwavering dedication to the club.

“We would like to place on record our heartfelt thanks to Danny and Dean for their hard work, professionalism and the positive contributions they made both on and off the pitch.

“They will be greatly missed by everyone at Ashford United and we wish them nothing but success in their future endeavours.”

The 41-year-old was in charge of 39 games in all competitions, picking up 18 wins, six daws and 15 defeats during his time at Homelands Stadium.

Ashford United host seventh-placed Merstham at Homelands Stadium on Saturday, 25 January 2025 (15:00).
