APM Contrast manager Kris Browning: As a club we are enjoying our time in the Invicta League and it’s a good league to be in
APM CONTRAST manager Kris Browning says his side have given a good account of themselves during their Kent Invicta League debut season.
The Paperboys are in the top-seven in the table having collected three wins, two draws and two defeats in the league so far and they travel to 12th placed Forest Hill Park tomorrow.
Forest Hill Park go into the game with two wins, a draw and five defeats and are also making their debut season at Step Six football.
“Our season is going ok I feel and we have given a good account of ourselves,” said Bristol-born Browning.
“We are a very young inexperienced squad which has maybe cost us three or four points as bar two of my players no one in my squad has played this high before.
“But it’s a good learning curve for us and I would hope that we could achieve a top eight finish this season.
“The main thing is we aren’t fighting relegation come what May.
“As a club we are enjoying our time in the Invicta League and it’s a good league to be in.”
Looking forward to their trip to Ladywell Arena tomorrow, Browning said: “We are away to Forest Hill tomorrow and we know it will be a tricky game for us and they have had some good results recently but we go there with confidence and in good spirits.
“There isn’t any pressure on the lads this season, only the APM ethics of working hard and doing their best for the club.
“I’m very happy at the moment but I’m sure there will be difficult times throughout this season, but we are a strong, organised and determined club which will look forward to every game and challenge that comes our way.”
