Anyone for Darts?

Friday 07th July 2006

Dartford’s reserve side, who will be playing in the first division of the Kent League this season, are searching for a couple of pre-season friendlies away from home, writes Stephen McCartney.

If any club are interested in hosting the Ryman League club’s second string, they should contact Peter Martin by email:

The club have asked the Kent League for away reserve team fixtures before they move into their Princes Park Stadium on 23rd September.

Mr Martin suggested the Darts’ first team pre-season friendly at Kent Leaguers Tunbridge Wells on Tuesday, 1st August, is still going ahead.

The two clubs meet again in the preliminary round of the FA Cup at Wells’ Culverden Stadium on 2nd September.

“As far as I’m aware the friendly is still on,” Mr Martin said tonight, after the draw, which was made this morning, paired together the two Kent sides.

Tunbridge Wells’ manager Martin Farnie is a former member of the Darts’ coaching team under former boss Tommy Sampson.
