Angels make Starkey's stay permanent

Friday 01st February 2008

Ebbsfleet United right-back Phil Starkey has today made his loan move to Tonbridge Angels permanent after impressing during his time at Longmead Stadium.

The Fleet have received a small fee and will net 30% of any sell-on fee. The Gravesend-born full back signed in the close season after being released by Crystal Palace but has found his first-team opportunities limited since his only two appearances back in August.

In other news, midfielder Dan Stubbs - who appeared as a late substitute in the midweek game against Dartford - has moved to Wivenhoe Town of the Ryman League Division One North on a month's loan, having spent a loan spell here in Kent at Whitstable Town earlier in the season.

A Fleet statement posted on it’s website www.ebbsfleetunited.co.uk added: "All at the Fleet wish Phil all the best for the future."
