Southern Counties East Football League 2021-22 campaign to start on the final day of July

Tuesday 04th May 2021

The Southern Counties East Football League has confirmed that their 2021-22 campaign will start on Saturday 31 July 2021.

It follows a board meeting that was held last week and both divisions will kick-off seven days before The FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round gets underway.

The League constitutions are expected to be published by The Football Association on 17 May, where it is expected that Michael Golding’s Corinthian will take their place in the Isthmian League for the first time in their history, a remarkable feat for an amateur outfit.

The past two season's have not been completed due to the Coronavirus health pandemic, which has given the Fawkham based outfit a chance to win promotion based on points-per-game over the two campaigns.

Beckenham Town (in 2019-20) and Chatham Town (2020-21) were both at the top of the Premier Division table at the time when both campaign's were abandoned - but their efforts on the pitch have not been awarded with promotion into the eighth-tier of English football.

Kennington, Rusthall and Holmesdale are expected to claim promotion from the First Division to the Premier Division but all will be confirmed on 17 May.
