Ebbsfleet United loan winger Brendan Kiernan back to Beavers
EBBSFLEET UNITED have allowed midfielder Brendan Kiernan to join Ryman Premier League side Hampton & Richmond Borough on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old former Bromley winger was a November signing having played for Lingfield, Staines Town and Hampton & Richmond Borough this season. He has appeared 14 times for the Fleet, scoring one goal.
Ebbsfleet United go into the Easter weekend sitting ten points adrift of fifth-placed Gosport Borough. They went down to a 1-0 defeat to Concord Rangers last weekend.
Meanwhile, on-loan left back Ben Jefford has returned to parent club Welling United.
His deal was set to expire on Saturday but the Wings have now recalled him early.
The club would like to thank Ben for his efforts at Stonebridge Road.
Fleet boss Jamie Day told www.ebbsfleetunited.co.uk that cover for the left-back position would hopefully come in the form of long-term absentee Aiden Palmer.
“In fairness to Aiden he’s worked his socks off in training recently and all along his rehabilitation to get back to this point so I want to give him the opportunity to see it through and get him the game time he deserves.”
Ebbsfleet united sit in ninth-place in the Vanarama Conference South table with 50 points from 34 games, ten points adrift of the play-offs.
They host sixth-placed Whitehawk on Good Friday, before travelling to thirteenth-placed Wealdstone on Easter Monday, 6 April. Both games kick-off at 3pm.
