Toms: Players have to prove to me they are hungry to play for Whitstable Town
Over thirty players have been put through their paces at pre-season training at Go Travel Kent League side Whitstable Town, writes Tony Rouse.

Marc Seager has been receiving treatment on his troublesome hip by new club physio Graeme Brown and Mark Jackson's leg injury will keep him out of action for the whole season.  Jackson said: "My leg is coming along really well but I still need a crutch to get around, but it won't stop me getting down to the Belmont to watch the lads.  I think they should do really well this season."

Manager Matt Toms said: "Every player has the same chance to play for me, they just have to prove to me they are hungry and want to play for Whitstable Town.

Every one of them is good enough to pull on the red shirt.  It's going to make my job harder but hey, what a nice problem to have working with such a talented bunch of players."
