Thamesmead win battle to sign Brown from Fisher
Go Travel Kent League side Thamesmead Town announced today that they have signed midfielder James Brown from Dr Martens League Eastern Division side Fisher Athletic, writes Stephen McCartney.

Brown rejoins assistant manager Keith McMahon at the Bayliss Avenue outfit whilst they were both at VCD Athletic.

Brown, who has been under a two year contract at the Surrey Docks Stadium, has just returned from a injury and said it was great to be back with McMahon and some of the players.

Brown said: "When I decided to leave Fisher and come back to the Kent League there was only one choice.  What Thamesmead Town are trying to achieve is exactly the club I am looking for and I can't wait to be playing at the club with their new facilities."

Thamesmead Town boss Paul Blade said:  "It's a great signing for the club.  I know quite a few other top Kent League clubs wanted James and I'm glad he came to us.  It gives us good balance as James can play any where in midfield or in defence, so it's a great addition to the squad."
