Slade Green commence pre-season training
by Robert Smith
Slade Green's newly formed youth team were officially accepted into the MUSH Kent Youth League on Tuesday night.  Green will play in the Under 18 Central Division with their first game due in early September.  After attending the league's AGM at Lordswood F.C. Green boss Terry Malin commented.  "This is a big step for the club, but at the same time one in the right direction for Slade Green.  There are some famous non league clubs in the Central Division such as Dartford, Dulwich Hamlet and Gravesend & Northfleet, and we look forward to locking horns with them next season."

The opening pre-season training session was well attended on Monday night with over twenty players present.  With the exception of Darren Upson (stomach ache), Lee Barber (holiday), Darren Laming (injured) and Tony Weir (work commitments) all of last season's squad were present.  There were also an array of new faces at the training session who will be revealed in the next couple of weeks.
