Goal machine Bowey turns down Maidstone to
stay at Slade Green
Following speculation about his future, Dean Bowey has decided
to stay with Go Travel Kent League side Slade Green, writes Robert Smith.
Bowey, had been tempted with a very good offer to join Go
Travel Kent League rivals Maidstone United, but following a meeting with
managers Terry Malin and Phil Miles on Tuesday night, the prolific goal
machine has turned down the chance to join the Stones.
Meanwhile, the Small Glen outfit have completed the signings of
former Thamesmead Town duo Trevor Heselden and Steve Montague. Both players
boast a wealth of Kent League experience and have returned to the game
following a season away due to work commitments.
