Stones search for youth team manager

MAIDSTONE United Football Club are introducing another youth team from next season and are inviting up and coming footballers to showcase their talents, writes Stephen McCartney.

The club are holding trials for their new under 13's side at Mote Park, behind Maidstone Leisure Centre on Saturday 7th May from 12 noon to 1.30pm.

The Stones are also on the lookout for someone to manage the new under 13's team.

The applicant should ideally be qualified to FA Level Two.  However, training will be offered to the right person.

Also trials for the club's under 14's team take place on the same day from 2pm to 3.30pm.

Richard Chawner, the club's youth development officer, told the club's website: "The club is committed to its youth development programme.  With the addition of an under 13 team, we will have five age groups representing Maidstone United Football Club, which increases awareness of the club to young people and their families."

For more information about the trials or the management position for the under 13's, please telephone Richard Chawner on 07901 641 468.
