Lamb departs Stones
Go Travel Kent League club Maidstone United have announced the departure of Paul Lamb after only three months with the Stones.

Manager Jim Ward felt that Lamb hadn't really settled within the squad and when Dr Martens League Eastern Division side Folkestone Invicta came in with an approach for Lamb, both parties felt that the move would be in his best interests.

The 30-year-old joined the Stones in August from Nationwide Conference neighbours Margate having previously served other Kent sides Gravesend & Northfleet, Ramsgate and Dartford.

Meanwhile, Maidstone United's under eighteen's progressed to the third round of the Plaaya Cup, winning 2-1 at Bromley's home at Hayes Lane, writes Stephen McCartney.

Jamie Leggett had a goal disallowed for offside for the home side after 25 minutes, before Bromley took a 33rd minute lead when Alan Owens scored from nineteen yards.

But the Stones came back and two goals in three mintes early in the second half from Louis Wilson (51 minutes) and Ben Samuels sent the Stones through.
