Morgan prolific in County League for Crockenhill
Crockenhill Football Club are proud to announce that a player, resident in the village, has not only played but also scored for the club, writes Stephen McCartney.

Jeff Parker joined the club during the close season following his move from the Midlands, where he had been playing senior football.  He scored for Crockenhill in their 3-1 home win over Snodland on the opening day of the season.

Along with Parker, the British Energy Kent County League Premier Division club, have signed left sided midfielder Mike Morgan.

Morgan, previously with Dr Martens League side Dartford, and Ryman League clubs Bromley and Dulwich Hamlet, played in the Southern League for St Leonards last season.

A quick and skilful player, he has scored three times in three games for the Wested club in league matches this season.

Meanwhile, Crockenhill had a crowd of 166 for the visit of Go Travel Kent League side Maidstone United in a pre-season friendly match, which resulted in the Stones signing midfielder Mark Horan.

Horan played for Crockenhill for six years after moving down from Yorkshire where he was in the Leeds United youth team and also played League football when he was shipped out to Doncaster Rovers on loan.
