Sittingbourne get a stamp of approval from sponsors

Sittingbourne Football Club are pleased to announce a shirt sponsorship deal
for the rest of this season, writes Stephen McCartney.

The deal is with online stamp collecting company "GB Approvals" who are already involved with sponsorship of Northern Club Frickley Athletic of the Unibond League and are sponsors of Ashford Town's Homelands Stadium.

Talking about the deal Company Secretary Jessica Lewis said: " Its great to be involved with a side such as Sittingbourne. They like ourselves make it an aim to  improve step by step each year and we are delighted to become involved as the clubs main shirt sponsor for the 2005-2006 season.

"Behind the scenes we have all worked hard to ensure this deal will be of benefit to both the club and ourselves and we hope that Sittingbourne has not only a great season but future.

"We have also sent a few items to the club, which will be on sale in the club shop and we hope this helps increase the number of people interested in a great hobby such as
stamp collecting.

The company website will feature Sittingbourne in the near future and we look forward to a great relationship over the course of both this year and the years to come."

Sittingbourne spokesman Peter Pitts added: "Sponsorship is the lifeblood of any club at all levels and we are extremely grateful to GB Approvals for becoming our shirts sponsors.

"We are sure that the arrangement will prove fruitful to both parties".

Meanwhile, Sittingbourne have been handed a home draw in the third and final qualifying round of the FA Trophy, after defeating Corby Town 1-0 on Saturday.

Nationwide Conference South outfit Cambridge City are the visitors to Bourne Park on 26th November.
