Mark Munday - Midfielder
An important signing for Neil Cugley, Mark Munday (32) was captain at Margate
where he won two promotions with them. He started his career at Margate, moved
on to Herne Bay where he was a prolific midfield goal scorer, moved onto Ashford
and then Gravesend before rejoining Margate in July 1997.
Andy Morris - Scouting for Invicta
Andy Morris, who's knee injury caused him to be sidelined for most of last
season and looks certain to miss this season, is to do some scouting for Invicta.
New Club Secretary
Ritchie Murning is to succeed Frank Clarke as the club secretary. Ritchie has
moved from the midlands to the Ashford area and is an experienced Dr Martens
secretary having served for Hednesford Town.
The Gills Are Coming
First Division Gillingham have promised to bring a strong side to Cheriton Road
on Wednesday for the first pre-season friendly of the summer for both teams.
It's a 7.45pm kick off and it will be an opportunity to see one or two new faces
in the Invicta squad. It may also be your first opportunity to witness some of
the improvements and repairs around the ground and at Stripes brought about
principally by members of the supporters club.
