Invicta fans buzzing |

Arnold from the Folkestone Invicta Supporters Club has revealed the work
being implemented at the Buzzlines Stadium during the summer, writes
Stephen McCartney. As the club prepare for their second Ryman Premier League campaign looking to improve last season's final placement of fourteenth, fans have been busy getting the ground at Cheriton Road ready for its first football match. First team boss Neil Cugley has arranged nine pre-season friendlies with six at home. Nationwide Conference side Gravesend & Northfleet are the first visitors to the Buzzlines Stadium next Saturday, 16th July (3pm). "The summer work has continued with many tasks now being completed," Arnold told the club's website. "Work will continue on Saturday mornings - skips now need to be filled." Changing rooms have been re-painted, the PA Hut repaired and repairs have been made to the terracing. The club's social club, Stripes has been rewired, which was funded by the Supporters Club. "As we do not have a major project the year, all the little jobs can be tackled" Arnold added. Meanwhile, new replica shirts will soon be in stock and Folkestone Invicta footballs are now available at only £10 each. Arnold has issued a rallying cry to get new officials for the supporters club. They need a new treasurer, membership secretary and club shop manager. And a DVD of Invicta's double victory over local rivals Dover Athletic can be purchased for only £15. "The club shop is a major fund raiser for the club and I am always looking out for donations so keep searching the attic." asked Arnold. "Richard Murrill's new fund raising scheme is still growing. For only 50p per league goal scored in the month you can win a good prize. This has raised over £1,000 last year. "Visiting fans coming to Folkestone that need a hotel or fancy a trip to France can contact the supporters club for help." And this years membership has got off to a good start according to Arnold. Annual subscriptions are £5 (adults) £2 (senior citizens and juniors). Forms are available from Stripes and benefits include shop discounts and membership to Stripes. The Folkestone Supporters Club player of the month is sponsored by F J Fullick Ltd (who are suppliers of white goods, based in Cheriton Road).
