Folkestone boss Cugley spreads his wings in transfer market

FOLKESTONE INVICTA manager Neil Cugley has confirmed  he has made two new signings in the past couple of days as the Cheriton Road outfit prepare for life in the Isthmian Premier Division next season, writes Stephen McCartney.

Twenty-one-year-old, skilful and quick player, Simon Glover has signed from Kent rivals Dover Athletic.  Whilst with Welling United, he gained valuable experience in the Dr Martens League Premier Division at the age of eighteen.

Dean Standen, 21, has signed from Welling.  As an eighteen-year-old he was sold from the Park View Road club to Luton Town for a fee of £25,000.

Cugley, was reported to have said: "Both lads can fit well into the setup at the Westbourne Stadium and I forward to working with them when pre-season training begins at the end of June."

Meanwhile, exciting prospect, John Walker has signed a two-year contract at the club.
