Folkestone sign Munday
Neil Cugley, manager of Dr Martens League Eastern Division club
Folkestone Invicta, has made an important signing in the experienced Mark Munday,
who was captain at Margate where he won two promotions with them.
Dover-born Munday started his career at Margate before moving to Herne Bay. He
moved on to Ashford Town and Gravesend & Northfleet before re-joining Margate in
July 1997. Something of a free-kick specialist, he has also had a spell
with Ramsgate and was part of the Gravesend side which played at Aston Villa in
the FA Cup during the 1995/96
season, and he scored the opening goal for Margate when they played at home to
Fulham in the First Round of the 1997/98 FA Cup.
Former Folkestone defender Andy Morris, who's knee injury caused him to be
sidelined for most of last season and looks certain to miss this season, is to
do some scouting for Invicta.
