Claridge sends his first team to Fisher

Wednesday 13th
July 2005
Pre-Season Friendly at Dulwich Hamlet FC, Champion Hill Stadium, off Dog Kennel Hill,
East Dulwich
(kick off 7:45pm)
Fisher Athletic
Millwall

Ryman Premier League newcomers Fisher Athletic will be playing against Millwall's first team squad in a pre-season friendly at Champion Hill next Wednesday, writes Stephen McCartney.

And newly appointed Lions' boss Steve Claridge, 39, has confirmed he will be bringing a full squad of players, including his first team, in what will be one of the first opportunities he has to cast his eye over the players he has available for their Championship campaign.

It also gives Fisher manager Wayne Burnett an opportunity to unveil four of his new signings he made during the close season.

Fisher, who secured the Southern League Division One East title and London Senior Cup last season, will be groundsharing at Dulwich Hamlet for another season.

Meanwhile, the planning committee meeting at Southwark Town Hall has provided the club with a golden opportunity to continue their quest to rise through the ranks of non-league football by granting permission for the redevelopment of their Surrey Docks Stadium and adjoining land.

Admission prices for their clash with the Lions, which will be well supported, are £8 (adults) and £4 (children, disabled and OAP's).

But children under the age of eight, and accompanied by a paying adult can watch the action free of charge.
