Fisher snap up Daggers Piper

Nationwide Conference club Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Lenny Piper has left to join Dr Martens League Eastern Division side Fisher Athletic, reports www.nonleaguedaily.com

Piper has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent and has moved to the Surrey Docks outfit after discussing terms.

Piper joined the Daggers with his brother, Chris, prior to the start of the 2003/04 season but has struggled to make his mark this season and has spent much of the season on loan at Margate where he scored three goals in seven appearances.

Since his return to The Glyn Hopkin Stadium, he has made three appearances, playing for the last 15 minutes of the 2-1 defeat at Chester City, the last 36 minutes of the Hereford United debarcle and the last 10 minutes of the 3-3 draw at Margate.

He was an unused substitute in Tuesday's goalless draw with Tamworth.
