Erith & Belvedere's terrible cup form continued as the Deres were dumped out
of the FA Vase by a rampant Hilligdon Borough side, writes Thomas Hawes.

Borough, who before Saturday topped the Spartan South Midlands Premier, opened the scoring after 30 minutes.

Danny Tilbury's shot took the slightest of deflections off Tom Maycock and looped agonisingly over the helpless Ricky Hall in the Deres goal.

The away side doubled their lead after Dave Lawrence coolly side footed the ball past Hall to put Hillingdon 2-0 up at the break.

On the hour, Lawrence got his second, his swerving free-kick from 40 yards caught the Deres unawares and Hillingdon appeared to be coasting to the second round of the Vase.

A minute later, however, and the Deres had hope, Chris Dickson capitalising on a mix up in the Hillingdon defence to pull one back for Erith.
