Deres sign promising Stevenage full-back

AS PROMISED Erith & Belvedere manager Barry Lakin has added two new faces to his Southern League Division One East squad, writes Stephen McCartney.

Sam Kevil is a midfield player who started this season at Ryman League Division One club Walton & Hersham and has also turned out for Gravesend & Northfleet's reserve team.

Gary Schillachi has come to the Park View Road club on loan from Nationwide Conference side Stevenage Borough and is a very promising full-back.

Both players will be in the squad for Saturday's FA Trophy preliminary round tie against Harlow Town, and Lakin, who was impressed by the performances of four reserve team players in the 3-0 midweek London Senior Cup win over Southall, will give them another chance in the cup tie.

Lakin said: "Both players will be in the squad for Saturday, along with four of the reserves who played very well in midweek against Southall.  Sam Frisk, Lee Sugden and Tom Maycock and former Bromley youth team midfielder Edwin Mante (who didn't face the west Londoners).

Denva MacKenzie, however, has left the club, and Lakin has wished him well for the future.
