Hales takes over at struggling Erith & Belvedere

Following Saturday's 5-1 defeat at Eastleigh, Dr Martens League Eastern Division club, Erith & Belvedere have today announced their manager Micky Cloke and assistant Barry Fox have both resigned from their positions, writes Stephen McCartney.

Since their appointments last November, the team have only won four of their nineteen games, which has seem the team slide into the bottom two of the table.

The club, however, have confirmed their new manager is Kevin Hales.  The former Leyton Orient player, managed Welling United before being the number two at both Stevenage Borough and Margate.

Hales will be assisted by former Erith & Belvedere and Leyton Orient player, Barry Larkin.

The duo will be very busy this week as they look to sign new players before the 31st March transfer deadline.
