Deres rocked as three coaches quit club over "Internal issues"
EXCLUSIVE

Erith & Belvedere's assistant manager Wayne Baldacchino has quit the Kentish Observer League club following "internal issues that could not be resolved", writes Stephen McCartney.

Coaches Ray Bagnall and Trevor Cross have also resigned from the club leaving the backroom staff a little thread bare.

Baldacchino, who joined the club in 2001 as the manager of the under eighteen side, before taking charge of the reserve side, winning both the Kent League division two and division one titles in succession, told www.kentishfootball.co.uk in an EXCLUSIVE interview: "I am very disappointed to be leaving the Deres after such a good pre-season.

"Everything was in place for a real challenge at the Kent Premier League but in the past three weeks things have gone downhill fast.

"Issues within the club have not been dealt with properly and I along with Ray and Trevor felt our input was being ignored.

"We could not accept that as we have tried to run things on a professional manner since we joined the club.

"We have enjoyed our time at the club, the facilities are superb and we wish the players the very best of luck for the coming season."

Baldacchino, Bagnall and Cross will be out and about the Kent scene over the next few weeks catching up with some old friends and should an appropriate position become available then they will be back plying their trade sooner rather than later.
