Town are inviting girls and boys aged 6-14 to take part in a soccer
school, writes Stephen McCartney. Clive Walker, the former Chatham Town manager, and now boss at Dover Athletic will be running the course. Walker is a UEFA A qualified coach and a former professional at Leicester City and is a highly respected figure in Kent football. He is also an experienced manager and has run many soccer schools in the UK and coaches in the United States during the summer months. Helping run the programme will be current players and coaches. It will be a one week course with a charge of £30. The course will run from 10am to 3pm starting from Monday 8th August to the 12th. The course will be held at Chatham Town Football Club's ground in Maidstone Road. Awards will be given to the players of the week as well as the most improved player. Meanwhile, the Southern League Division One club will be holding a live music evening with singer/guitarist Haki Clayton on 24th September, starting at 7:30pm. Tickets are available from the bar at the ground, priced at £5 (adults) and £2 (concessions. Supporters Club members will receive discounts. Due to the size of the clubhouse, there will be a limited number of 80 tickets on sale. Tickets can be purchased by emailing chilio@blueyonder.co.uk Season tickets are also on sale for the new season, priced at £100 (adult). This price includes admission to all home league and reserve team friendlies, although this does not include entrance to cup games.
