Carshalton pick up Ashford pair

Ryman League Premier Division club Carshalton Athletic have picked up two players recently released by Dr Martens League Eastern Division side Ashford Town.

Robins assistant manager, George Wakeling, a former boss at the Homelands, has signed twenty-one year old midfielder, Sam Saunders and twenty-year-old striker Adrian Stone.

Saunders was a former youth team player at Queen's Park Rangers before joining Hastings United from Welling United before joining Ashford in February 2002.

Stone has also arrived at Colston Avenue having played for Tooting & Mitcham United and local south east London sides Catford Wanderers and Moonshot Athletic.

Both players were released by the Nuts & Bolts for disciplinary reasons.
