Ashford roar to another Tigers Trophy success

ASHFORD Town's under 14's have successfully defended the Tenterden Tigers Trophy which they won last year by beating the hosts 2-0 in the final, writes Stephen McCartney.

Goals from Ricky Harden and Ben Ross - who was voted the Crown Personnel player of the tournament - saw Ashford captain Jacob Arnold-Smith lift the trophy for the second year running.

They qualified for the final by beating fellow MUSH Kent Youth Leaguers Maidstone United 3-0 with Arnold-Smith grabbing a brace after Ross had opened the scoring.

Ashford they defeated last year's beaten finalists Seal Valley 2-1 with Ross again finding the net and Jack Ransley grabbing the decisive goal.

It was a good all-round performance from everyone and pleasing to lift the trophy again.
