Wietecha makes return to Hayes Lane

There are two John Ullmann Kent Senior Cup ties being played tonight, as Bromley, Ashford Town, Tonbridge Angels and Folkestone Invicta bid to join Ramsgate in the last eight of the competition, writes Stephen McCartney.

The Rams made it through seven days ago when they knocked out Kent Senior Trophy holders Thamesmead Town 2-1 at Southwood Stadium.

Their goals were scored by David Cory and a Shane Suter header.  Dean Burns had equalised for Paul Blade's side.

Jim Ward's side travel to AFC Wimbledon tonight to earn the right to travel to Stonebridge Road to play Dartford in the third and final qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

And Dover Athletic can return to the top of the Ryman League Division One table if they win at Corinthian Casuals.

However, giant goalkeeper Dave Wietecha is set to make a return to Hayes Lane when his new side Ashford Town tackle Ryman Premier League side Bromley.

Wietecha moved to Bromley after leaving Milwall earlier in his career and has also played for Kent sides Folkestone Invicta and Maidstone United.  He replaces the suspended Shaun Glover.

Bromley skipper Allan Mcleod picked up a shoulder injury within a minute of their 4-1 defeat at Boreham Wood in the FA Trophy on Saturday.

After being rushed to hospital it was discovered that the former Arsenal full-back has sustained ligament damage and should be able to resume light training within two weeks.

Midfielder Des Boateng is still troubled with a hamstring strain and is unlikely to be involved, although South African Steve Potterill could return after his back injury has responded well to treatment.

Meanwhile, former Gillingham player, Jones Awuah, who impressed on his debut at Margate in their 3-2 (aet) Westview Cup win seven days ago, is expected to make his home debut.  He missed their FA Trophy exit as he played for Aveley earlier in the competition.

In the other tie, Tonbridge Angels entertain Folkestone Invicta at the Betterview Longmead Stadium.
