McGowan moves across Kent to Margate

Margate manager Chris Kinnear announced three new attacking players ahead of their 1-1 draw at Hartsdown Park on Tuesday night, reports www.margate-fc.com

Joining former Grays Athletic, Farnborough Town and Canvey Island striker Bertie Brayley, who scored Saturday’s only goal against Worthing, in ‘Gate’s side against the Fish were James Corbett, Gavin McGowan - who left Ryman Premier League rivals Bromley last weekend - and Ellis Remy.

Corbett is a forward whose former clubs include Blackburn and Southend, while  former England Schoolboy international McGowan is more of an attacking midfielder, who has played for Arsenal, Luton, Horsham, Bromley, Hornchurch, Braintree Town and then Dulwich Hamlet.

Remy, who was once signed by Grays for £8,000 from Lincoln City, has also played for Hastings United, Redbridge and Kettering Town before joining Braintree in November 2004.
