Rain delays development programme at Hartsdown Park

Margate Football Club are pleased to announce that replica home and away shirts will be available from the office at their Hartsdown Park ground from 12:30pm on Monday, writes Stephen McCartney.

And season tickets will also be on sale from Monday onwards for £140 (adults) and £90 (concessions, OAP's, Under 18s and full-time students).

But the Ryman Premier League club has to report that the stadium development programme is currently running a week behind schedule, due to the recent heavy rainfall.

The inspection by the Ryman League has duly been postponed by a week, but preparations for their first home game of the new season, against Maldon Town on Saturday 20th August, remain on track, and officials from Thanet Council have been invited to attend.

As yet the club has no news to report on their CVA.

"We are, however, expecting news from the administrators early next week, and this will be shared with you, the fans, as soon as we have any news," a statement said on their website www.margate-fc.com.

Work has started on the delivery of the business case, and viability study, and the club hope to present this to the local authorities by the end of September.

"All outstanding staff and player wages have been paid in full, and we are pleased to announce that all programme advertising space has been sold," the statement added.

"We are, however, able to offer perimeter board advertising, as well as match sponsorship - for more information on the advertising opportunities that the club offers, please visit our commercial department via the club's website."

The club, however, regrets to inform fans that Victoria Roby has decided to seek her future elsewhere.

She has resigned from her position as Company Secretary and Administration Manager.

"Margate Football Club wishes her all the best in her new career.

"The directors would therefore like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Vicki for her resolute hard work, and effort over the period that she has spent with the club."
