Margate grateful for fans' help |
Margate have today received
confirmation from Thanet District Council, that the approved detailed
planning consent, has now been approved by G.O.S.E, reports www.margate-fc.com The Ryman Premier League club's administration also confirm that the papers necessary to approve the C.V.A. will be sent to creditors before the end of this week, and this keeps everything on target for a mid-September settlement of their administration. The Gate's return to Hartsdown Park last Saturday was a complete success, with an attendance of 1280 spectators. The club admit this exceeded all expectations for their home coming. It was only at 4pm on the eve of the game that the club finally received it's signed safety certificate from the safety committee. Work has been ongoing for several weeks and the club would not have achieved compliance for certification without their supporters, who gave their time over that period to ready the stadium. To say thank you, the club will be arranging an evening at the social club, when all those involved will celebrate their success together. "The club must, however, pay particular tribute to the work of the Margate Independent Supporters Association, who have made an outstanding contribution to assist with the reinstatement of the Hartsdown End, and a special thank you to Tam for his work and leadership with support from David, Melvin, Brian and the rest of the team," said the statement. The club remain on programme to deliver the business case for the end of September and continue to project the end of the year as a start date for the permanent development. Manager Chris Kinnear is working hard to introduce new players as he builds his squad for this season. New signing, Jermiane Brown scored on his debut but Margate fell to a 2-1 defeat at Staines Town on Tuesday night. Brown became the 15th player in Kinnear's squad and they travel to Harrow Borough on Saturday before Redbridge - who were relegated with Margate from the Nationwide Conference South last season - visit Hartsdown Park on Bank Holiday Monday (3pm). Harrow Borough v Margate Ryman Premier League Saturday 27th August 2005 Kick Off 3:00pm at Earlsmead, Carylon Avenue, South Harrow, Middlesex |
