Patmore joins Margate
Chris Kinnear, manager of Nationwide Conference club Margate, has
pulled off something of a coup with the signing of Woking's experienced striker
Warren Patmore
Margate have beaten Conference rivals Forest Green Rovers to the signing of
former England semi-professional international.
Patmore looked set to join his former Yeovil Town boss Colin Addison at Forest
Green after asking to leave Woking, but the 31-year-old has instead opted to
join Margate.
Patmore joined Woking in 2001 for a fee in excess of £40,000 from Yeovil, where
he had an impressive scoring record of 141 goals in six seasons.
The players' former clubs include Cambridge United, Millwall, Northampton Town
and Rushden & Diamonds, where he scored the clubs first ever league goal.
"The whole place is buzzing at the moment," boss Chris Kinnear.
"With the signing of Warren, and hopefully another couple of players I am
talking to, this should give us a very competitive squad."
