Fleet defend price increases

GRAVESEND & NORTHFLEET chairman Brian Kilcullen has defended his decision to increase ticket prices at the Nationwide Conference club next season - with the club reverting to full-time football, writes Stephen McCartney.

The adult match day admission price has increased from £10 to £12 with season ticket prices going up in similar proportions.  Concessions for OAP's and children remain at half the price of a standard ticket.

However, those that purchase a season ticket before 30th April 2005 will be able to take advantage of special offers.

The club is retaining its offer of special prices for match day Family tickets and membership of Junior Fleet.

A new scheme has also been introduced where current and new members of Beauwaters Sports & Social club can get discounted season tickets.

Kilcullen explained his reasons for the increases. "We fully appreciate that fans are always going to be sensitive to prices increases," he told the club's website.

"However, our prices were last raised two years ago and this move brings us into line with general price levels in the Nationwide Conference for next season.

"We believe that developments such as the move to full-time football and Beauwaters indicate this club warrants charging market prices."

Season Ticket prices:

Terrace: £185 (adult) £92.50 (concessions)
Wing Stand: £215 (adult) £107.50 (concessions)
Centre Stand: £235 (adult) £117.50 (concessions)

However, the following special offers apply, if purchased before 30th April:

Terrace: £170 (adult) saving £15
Terrace: £85 (concessions) saving £7.50

Wing Stand: £195 (adult) - saving £20
Wing Stand: £97.50 (concessions) - saving £10

Centre Stand: £210 (adult) - saving £25
Centre Stand: £105 (concessions) - saving £12.50

However, if you are an existing member of Beauwaters Sports & Social Club or become one before 31st May you will qualify for a £20 discount on the purchase of a season ticket (£10 concessions).
