Free Conference football for girls on Ladies Day

AS part of their continued support for ladies football, Nationwide Conference club Gravesend & Northfleet are hosting a Ladies Day when Scarborough visit Stonebridge Road on Saturday 5th March (3pm), writes Stephen McCartney.

All girls and women will have free admission for the game and at half time the AEI Gravesend Ladies team will be holding a demonstration of a girls football coaching session to support the work both clubs have been doing in the local community.

This will also include a presentation to the ladies team for their hard work and efforts in the South East Counties Premier League.

Meanwhile, AEI Gravesend are currently running a coaching centre for 11-16 year-old girls at Swan Valley Community School, Southfleet Road, Swanscombe.

The sessions are run by qualified female club coaches and are open to anyone between the age groups and any ability who wants to come along for fun, coaching, skills and games.

Sessions take place during 4pm - 5:30pm at the school every Tuesday and the sessions are run on an Astroturf pitch.
