Fleet appoint Walter as managing director |
Frank Walter, who has been acting on a
consultancy basis for Gravesend & Northfleet Football Club and Fleet
Leisure for the past six months, is taking up the permanent position of
Managing Director for both companies with effect from 1 September, reports
the club's website www.gnfc.co.uk Brian Kilcullen, Chairman of the two companies, is standing down from his position as temporary CEO of Gravesend & Northfleet Football Club. He stated: " I am delighted to be able to announce Frank's appointment. There are many challenges ahead and it is a very exciting time to be involved with the football club and Fleet Leisure. We need an excellent management team to meet our objectives and Frank has impressed everyone around the place with his leadership, enthusiasm and business skills. Myself and the other Directors look forward to working with him on ensuring the football club and our leisure arm achieve the success we all want; namely, promotion to the Football League, a thriving community leisure facility and a new stadium in the Borough for the local team". Mr Walter added: " During my initial consultancy assignment at both the Football Club and Fleet Leisure I have been impressed with the energy and passion demonstrated by all the staff. I would like to thank them for helping to make my familiarisation with the sports and leisure sector an exciting period . I look forward to working with them and the board of directors as we continue with the many forward thinking initiatives to grow a successful business and community leisure facility"
