WHITSTABLE TOWN parted company with manager Justin Luchford last night.

The Oystermen suffered a 3-2 defeat away to fellow strugglers Three Bridges at the weekend, which was their fifth successive defeat.

The result leaves them in the bottom two in the Ryman League Division One South table, with 13 points (four wins and a draw) from 14 games.

They were kept of the bottom after basement side Walton Casuals’ exciting 6-6 home draw with Merstham, who are managed by former Bromley boss Hayden Bird.

Whitstable Town issued a brief statement on their club website this morning.

“The club, last night confirmed the departure of football manager Justin Luchford.

“In the interim, Richard Langley will take care of team affairs over the next few games until a further announcement be made.”
