Whitstable take their time to "get the right person"

Monday 24th July 2006

Whitstable Town manager Marc Seager has appointed Ian Hossick as his temporary reserve team manager, before the club make a permanent appointment in two weeks time.

Seager, whose side host Sittingbourne in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night, told www.whitstabletownfc.co.uk that he won‘t be rushed and wants to get the right man.

He said: “ I am delighted that Ian will be taking the lads for the next couple of weeks until the new reserve team manager is chosen.

“The club decided not to hurry the process, as we want to ensure that the right person for Whitstable Town is chosen for this very important position.

“Along with the chairman and the rest of the committee we all know how vital it is to get the right person for the job of reserve team manager.

“Which is why I am pleased that Ian has agreed to take charge for the next couple of weeks, our first (reserve team) game in the league is not until the 26th of August so there will be plenty of time for the new man to settle in.”
