We will not roll over and die, insists Heaslewood - EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

Monday 08th January 2007
VCD Athletic need to beat Slade Green by three clear goals to progress into the last eight of the Kent League Cup on Tuesday night, but Adam Heaslewood, Slade Green’s player-assistant manager, insists his players will not roll over and die, writes Stephen McCartney.

“All I can assure the other teams in the group is that we will approach the game in a professional manner,” he said EXCLUSIVELY to www.kentishfootball.co.uk.

Heaslewood has given his players an ultimatum to perform ahead of Saturday’s rescheduled Kent Senior Trophy quarter-final trip to British Energy Kent County League side Bearsted.

He said: “Our players are playing for a shirt for that game, particularly after the performance against Croydon.

“It also gives our players the chance to get a bit of momentum ahead of the Bearsted game.”
