We will be looking to keep the momentum going, says Ramsgate boss Tim Dixon

Thursday 24th October 2013
RAMSGATE manager Tim Dixon says he is looking to bring in a couple of reinforcements for his squad.

The Rams are sitting in sixth-place in the Ryman League Division One South table, having won seven games and drawn two of their 14 league outings.

They are seven points behind league leaders Walton Casuals, who arrive in Kent with a record of ten wins and four defeats from their opening fourteen games.

Walton Casuals, who finished at the foot of the table last season, have taken full advantage of receiving a reprieve from relegation and arrive at Southwood Stadium sitting at the top of the table.

“Obviously looking forward to the game against a very well-organised side,” said Dixon.

“Mark Hams seems to have a good bunch playing for each other.

“At this moment in time, so have we and the lads have put a couple of good results together.

“We will be looking to keep the momentum going with another workmanlike performance.”

Dixon admits he needs to bring in fresh faces into his squad if they are to maintain their promotion challenge.

“We will be looking to improve our league position and stay amongst the pack at the top,” he said.

“A week or so ago, it was probably a false position as there were many teams that had played less games, but they seemed to have caught up with games played now, so it’s a bit more realistic.

“The squad is still looking a bit thin and I am still looking to improve with a couple of additions due to a few long term injuries.”

Meanwhile, James Everitt, who is Ramsgate’s leading goalscorer with ten goals, misses the game through suspension.
