West Ham Legend Cottee comes to Kent

Wednesday 08th February 2006

Russellers Football Club, who are currently at the foot of the Kent Suburban League first division table, are hosting an evening with former West Ham United and England striker Tony Cottee on Friday, 3rd March at Sidcup Rugby Cub.

The club are holding the high-profile fundraising event to raise money, which is going towards their target of owning their own ground.

At present all their teams are dispersed all over Bexley and surrounding areas.

Club spokesman Rob Chisholm said: “We are lucky to have Tony for three hours in which time he will relive his time in the professional game.

“We will then open it up for a question and answer session where anybody will be able to ask him anything on the beautiful game - within reason.

“Then we shall top the event with an auction that Tony has kindly agreed to host. We have some great items ranging from West Ham/Crystal Palace/Chelsea/Horse Racing signed items to a mountain bike, kindly donated by a local company.”
