We're rebuilding and things are on the up, says Gravesham Borough boss Grant Duff

Thursday 09th October 2014
GRAVESHAM BOROUGH manager Grant Duff says he is pleased with his side’s campaign so far.

The artist formerly known as Fleet Leisure are in ninth-place in the Pain & Glory Sports Kent Invicta League table, having won three, drawn three and lost three of their league outings.

Chris McDermott scored the only goal of the game against Meridian VP last weekend.

“Saturday’s game was a needed three points to boost our confidence,” admitted Duff.

“It was a tough game against Meridian, who were well organised and they kept the ball really well at times.

“It could have gone either way on another day.

“Our goalie Elder pulled off some great saves and won the man-of-the-match.  We hit the bar and post so it was quite an even game.

“I’m looking forward to the return fixture.”

Duff takes his side to seventh-placed Bearsted on Saturday.

He said: “They’ve started off really well and we know it will be a tough game.

“The boys will train right and prepare for the game. Hopefully we can take another three points.

“Our season has gone ok thus far.  A few injuries and player departures have hurt us but we’re rebuilding and things are on the up.”
